Borrowing from other libraries

The WMU Library can in some cases borrow material from other libraries. This is primarily done within Sweden and the Nordic countries. In some cases we also borrow from the rest of Europe. Interlibrary loans are considered a supplement to purchasing and is usually only conducted with older materials or material which is not directly related to the maritime and oceans subjects.

Lending to persons not affiliated with the university

The WMU Library lends some of its material to persons not affiliated with the university, but not directly. Non-WMU patrons must submit their request for our materials through a library in which they have membership. The library staff at that library will know how to contact us for an Interlibrary Loan.
